I know I shouldn't even bother asking this and just be on the safe side, but I thought I'd get opinions from you guys. My basement is split into two rooms by a wall down the length of it. The reptiles, inverts, and computer are currently on the smaller side, but I just got the bigger room wired for cable and extra outlets so I can move everyone over. I'd like to paint the ceiling in there before I move everyone. There are two open doorways that I will probably cover in plastic while I paint, but the top of the wall does not reach the ceiling- it stops at the bottom of the floor joists, so there is 6-8 inches of open space between the top of the wall and the ceiling. If I stuff that space with newspaper and use latex paint, do you think my reptiles and inverts will be safe in the next room, or do I really need to haul everyone upstairs? I don't have a lot of room upstairs, but I could find a place for everyone if I need to. The inverts would be easiest, of course, and I'll probably move them anyway just to be safe, but some of the big reptile cages were a pain to get down here in the first place. I could bag everyone and move them, but if painting takes more than one day, I'd hate to leave them in bags the whole time. Any other ideas? There are three windows in the room that's getting painted, and I can open them and use a fan for ventilation, but I worry that the fumes will still be too much for these guys. What do you guys think? Thanks! _________________ When life hands you lemons, tuck 'em in your bra. Can't hurt. Might help.

Ok, nevermind. I decided not to paint since it was starting to look like a big pain in the butt. Too many other things to do anyway, but hopefully within the next couple of weeks I'll have this room done! _________________ When life hands you lemons, tuck 'em in your bra. Can't hurt. Might help.
