Excellent finds! The frog is a southern leopard frog, the water snake is a subadult N. sipedon.

YEAR FOUR
been three times this week... all in the middle of the day, looking primarily for cottonmouths. i haven't caught one yet, but i have seen what looked like one, and well as a couple of nerodia. also saw a DOR cottonmouth and another DOR that was likely one, but nothing i could identify for sure.
i have seen a few lizards, frogs, and turtles.
here are a few pics that i was able to get.

ok, got pics of a brown water snake basking today.
by the ears in the shadow in this pic... you can tell the pic was taken either by myself or president obama.
